Broadway Voice Lessons are available for students age 5-9 and ages 10-18

Kids can begin to take lessons if they really want to but  from ages 5-9 the voice lessons should be taught differently than for older kids and adults. Lessons for young students are kept fun so that they do not lose interest. Young students are taught to practice and identify music intervals and scales in their lessons.They also work on their ear training which will help them to stay in tune. The main objective of lessons for young children who do a large amount of singing, whether in a choir or on stage, is to prevent them from straining or harming their voice.

Broadway voice lessons for older kids (age 10+) focus on vocal technique.  Kids  learn breathing technique in addition to proper posture. Students are instructed to practice proper ways to take care of their voices. We help students to understand their own unique vocal qualities and also to find material that suits those qualities. We will assist students to begin to building a repertoire...a list of songs that they are prepared to perform. This will prepare them to be ready and available for auditions & performances.
