Jazz dance is a term which refers to several related dance styles. Technique is the foundation for all quality dance movement. A strong technical foundation enables a dancer to focus on the style and performance aspects of dance. Jazz dance offers technique focused on correct posture which is essential to properly execute moves such as turns, leaps & jumps. The best jazz dancers have a good background in ballet technique which is critical for the strong and sharp movements found in jazz dance.
The body's center is the focal point for balance and control in jazz dance movement.
Broadway's Jazz classes start with stretching exercises in order to warm up the muscles and help prevent injuries. Warm up consist of elongating leg muscles and strengthening the core.

Hip-Hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily danced to hip-hop music. This includes a wide range of styles such as breaking, locking, and popping which were developed in the 1970s. What separates hip-hop dance from other forms of dance is that it is often freestyle (improvisational) in nature. Our choreography includes a wide variety of styles, movement and skills.
Acro/Hip-Hop is offered for 45 minutes as a combination for Pee Wee, Mini & Junior Students. This offers somedance technique as well as athletic & fun street dance.
Jr & Sr Hip-Hop is offered for 45 or 60 minutes and includes warm-ups as well as athletic & fun street dancer moves & choreography.
